Responsibility for the product

To this end, we evaluate 100% of our portfolio based on Occupational Health, Safety and Environment criteria, which contributes to the identification of opportunities for improvement in our processes.
Annually, we produce approximately 2 billion liters of ethanol and 4.2 million tons of sugar Our portfolio has a variety of sugars intended for industrial purposes. We are also one of the largest producers of ethanol in Brazil, especially hydrous and anhydrous ethanol for the fuels market and ethanol for several industrial segments, such as beverages, cosmetics, paints, bio-plastics, and chemicals.
Our annual sales volume of fuels caters to sectors such as cargo and passenger transportation, industries, agribusiness, mining, retail, and aviation. Ethanol, gasoline, and diesel are marketed under the Shell brand.

100% Quality
In order to share best practices in quality control for the distribution of fuel, we conduct an annual campaign called 100% Quality. In 2016/2017, we published a primer containing guidelines, norms and procedures for the operational phases involving receiving, storing, and shipping. This material was made available to employees, partners, dealers, clients, and representatives of local unions as well as the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels (ANP).
In order to reinforce our commitment to this aspect, we created the Quality Day, when we highlight to our team the importance of delivering the best product to our clients.
In terms of logistics, we rely on internal and external teams that inspect the processes involving storage, distribution, and supply of products - a task guided by the Operations Manual and by the Transports Manual and Maintenance Manual.
Retail infrastructure
Products marketed in our network of service stations undergo rigorous processes of quality and traceability of fuels, from the time they leave the terminal up to delivery to the end client. Products come with a report that guarantees the compliance of the originating tank.
In order to offer the best consumer experience, we have in place a solid infrastructure to cater to dealers, which yields greater agility in managing operations through automated processes for taking orders, logistics and collection. In addition, we invest in training for the teams in our service station network on topics such as: quality control, empowering sales, safety in fueling operations, environmental control, and operational management.
These initiatives reinforce our commitment to the quality of products, customer services, and safety of operations. Click here and learn more about the safety aspects at the service station network.
Best performance attested
The development of additives by Shell to be used in Brazilian fuels have advanced technology for differentiation in engine performance. The Shell V-Power Nitro+ and Shell V-Power Racing have an exclusive package of additives that reduce wear between the moving parts of the engine that come into contact with the fuel. Furthermore, we exclusively market the Shell V-Power Ethanol1, the only ethanol with additives on the market - with a cleaning formula that improves the response in flex-fuel engines. Fighting fraud
|G4-DMA Public Policies|We maintain strict control to fight fraud, with several prerequisites for approval of carriers contracted. Additionally, in the 2016/2017 harvest, the entire fleet was monitored via GPS and cameras.
In order to lead initiatives in this industry, we support the National Union of Fuel and Lubricant Distribution Companies (SINDICOM) in launching the movement called Combustível Legal, intended to debate unlawful activities, such as default, tax evasion, and adulterated fuel.
