We seek to enhance our international leadership by participating in important initiatives such as Business20 (B20), the private sector representation in the Group of Twenty (G20 - group of the world's 20 largest economies), and the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, also known as COP.

In 2022, we held the co-chair position of the B20 Energy Task Force and had the opportunity to jointly form policy recommendations delivered to heads of state and G20 leaders at the end of the year. These recommendations emphasized the importance of biofuels for the energy transition and the need for countries to commit to solutions such as biogas, biomethane and biofuels for the decarbonization of hard-to-abate sectors.

As a signatory to the Business Pact against Roadside Exploitation of Children and Adolescents, the leading program of the In the Right Hands Program proposed by Childhood Brasil and Instituto Ethos. The initiative aims to encourage companies to commit to this important cause.

We joined the Large Enterprises Program, focusing on the locations where we are carrying out E2G expansion works. These initiatives aim to engage companies in the crucial cause of combating the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, encouraging them to take responsibility and take concrete measures to prevent and combat this serious social problem.

Our CEO, Ricardo Mussa, is Chair of the B20 2024 Energy Transition and Climate Task Force, accompanied by Paula Kovarsky, our Vice President of Strategy and Sustainability, playing a leading role in the debates. Through this participation, we were able to actively contribute to the group's debates, raising issues relevant to our business and sector, such as the urgency of expanding global cooperation in the transition to Net Zero, encouraging the production of biofuels and supporting development of a sustainable supply chain of biofuels as an energy source.
