WE HAVE A TEAM OF AGENTS OF CHANGE

To drive transformation, we foster a diverse environment made up of employees who leverage our initiatives. And we also have our Continuing Education Center, which offers training and experiences and facilitates the integration of different areas of knowledge.

THROUGH RAÍZEN UNIVERSITY, WE REACH FOR THE BEST IN EACH OF US

We invest in training through a corporate university that offers opportunities for development in all areas. Raízen University has a solid structure and subjects that are mandatory for all participants: Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Our RAIZ, Ethics and Sustainability.

DIVERSITY IN THE PRESENT AND FOR THE FUTURE

WE ARE A BRAZILIAN COMPANY, AND WE WANT OUR TEAM TO REFLECT ALL THE DIVERSITY THAT ENRICHES OUR LOCAL CULTURE.

Since our founding, we have promoted respect and appreciation for diversity by creating an environment where every point of view counts. Our journey toward a more diverse company begins with gender equality. We are a signatory of the UN Women agreement, we train our organization in partnership with the Women 360º Movement, and we have a strategic diversity and inclusion plan in line with the SDGs.

To reach our goals, we are guided by our Diversity and Inclusion Committee, which brings together leaders and employees from different areas, levels and affinities to develop initiatives, policies and procedures to increase diversity in our workforce. This evolution begins with our leaders, who were and continue to be trained to advocate for and encourage discussions on issues related to women, LGBTQIAP+, PwD, races, ethnicities and diversity & inclusion.

SOCIAL

Relationship with communities is a material and strategic topic for Raízen. Therefore, we move beyond our walls: we work to have a positive impact on our employees, our local communities and society at large. Our social commitment generates good energy that impacts thousands of people. While respecting the culture, the population and the strengths of each region, we use engagement and education to enhance our operations.

SOCIAL PERFORMANCE

SAFETY

SAFETY IS ONE OF THE MAIN ELEMENTS OF OUR CULTURE

We continually invest in training programs and educational initiatives because, for Raízen, safety is non-negotiable and always comes first. Our businesses rely on a comprehensive management system and on an Integrated Operations Management System (SIGO, in Portuguese) that has safety as a key principle. We work to ensure that safety is ingrained in all our practices, from the everyday work in our sites and corporate offices, to our activities outside of working hours—because for us, life is what matters. Raízen strives to make all its employees be role models of safe behavior. That is why we have initiatives such as Safety Day, an event that takes place twice a year to value life and encourage not only our employees, but also our suppliers, drivers and the communities surrounding our operations, to adopt safe behaviors. Throughout the crop year, we always reinforce our corporate goal of working to achieve zero accidents.

SOCIAL PERFORMANCE INTEGRATED INTO THE BUSINESS

Reshaping the future of energy is our purpose—which makes even more sense when it results in the development of society and in the improvement of people’s lives. Therefore, our social efforts go hand in hand with our business strategy—we integrate the two to create a positive and sustainable impact wherever Raízen is present.

We use our operational excellence to generate social impact. We take care of the whole and of each of its parts, using our planning and implementation skills to help create a better society.
